For the first time since 2013, Lewis Ginter’s Groovin’ in the Garden concert series is back! The 2024 season is getting set to kick off on May 30, 2024 with Richmond’s own Carbon Leaf! Known for their alt-country, Celtic and folk-infused indie rock. The event also marks the band’s return to Garden; they played Groovin’ in 2010. Tickets went on sale to the general public on March 1- get yours today!

Founded by Lewis Ginter, a prominent businessman and philanthropist, in the early 20th century, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden has since become a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike. It is truly one of Richmond’s gems, offering a serene and educational environment for nature enthusiasts, families, and anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of the natural world. The garden is deeply involved in community outreach and education, offering programs for schools, families, and individuals to learn about horticulture, conservation, and sustainable gardening practices.

In addition to its stunning natural beauty, the garden hosts a variety of events and educational programs throughout the year, including flower shows, art exhibits, family-friendly activities, and, of course, Dominion’s GardenFest of Lights during the holiday season- voted the best botanical garden light display in the country in 2023 (USA Today 10Best contest). When you visit, don’t miss the Conservatory (the “Jewel of the Garden”)- housing a wide variety of exotic and unusual plants and flowers from around the world.

Don’t miss Groovin’ in the Garden this season!
